Blocking devices

If I block a device from the mesh WiFi, will the ports still give that device access to the internet or is the device blocked irrelevant of the wired access?
I have a lazy son who I blocked from the WiFi for his PS5 as he wouldn't get a job so he moved a mesh WiFi hub into his room and connected via LAN cable to get round it. Just don't know it it worked or not

Devices that have both WiFi and Ethernet, such as PS5, have two different MAC addresses: for wireless and for wired link. Depending on how they connect, they will appear as different devices in Deco mesh.
You blocked WiFi for PS5, you now need to find wired PS5 device in Deco app and block it, too. Until you do, your son will have access to the Internet.
It should not be hard to find that wired PS5 in list of devices in Deco app, even if it is not shown as "PS5." That will be the device (with whatever name) that is connected by the Ethernet to that specific Deco unit in his room.
