Hi  @jra11500

We can't delete audit logs.

The audit logs are only retained for the last 7 days and typically don't contain much data, so they shouldn't consume significant memory. Are you perhaps referring to regular logs when mentioning memory usage?

Audit logs cannot be deleted. What is the point of an audit log if it is possible to delete the log  :-)

  @MR.S

Thank-you for responding.  I have never worked with audit logs nor do I see the need for audit logs in some environments.  Personally, I believe it should be left up to the system administrator if such a function should be enabled or disabled at a given site.  The same goes for deleting the logs after they have been reviewed.

I have seen posts where the Omada controllers behave erratically when the log space fills up and the controller needs to start overwriting old entries.  I don't know if that is still the case or not.  Having the option to delete the logs would prevent any such issues.

I am going to study this further and perhaps submit a feature request to make audit trails optional.

  @Vincent-TP

Thank-you for the info.  Seeing that the audit logs are only kept for 7 days is good to know.  After reviewing my logs here, it is true that they do not contain much information and I don't foresee any problems.
