Model: EAP772-Outdoor
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version:

Team we would like to know if we could mesh EAP772 with EAP215 Bridge Kit and establish PtP to the second EAP215. Please let me know if this is feasible.

I have a controller deployed with EAP772 and we would like to extend the connection to a home about 1.5km away from the EAP772.

I would be most grateful.

Danny

Hi  @Dkawayevu

Thanks for posting here.

Will the main EAP bridge be wired to the EAP772, or will you plan to use wireless connectivity?

It will work if you plug the EAP main unit into the EAP772 with an Ethernet cable.

Internet---EAP772---wired--EAP bridge_main ))) wireless ((( EAP bridge_sub      √

Internet---EAP772))) wireless (((EAP bridge_main ))) wireless ((( EAP bridge_sub     ×

But EAP772 only has one Ethernet cable. So this is not possible with the current installation.

Do you have another EAP unit? If so, you can build a mesh EAP772 with other EAP units, which will save the Ethernet port for the EAP bridge.

The topology would be:

Internet---EAP772_1))) wireless ((( EAP772_2---wired--EAP bridge_main ))) wireless ((( EAP bridge_sub

Feel free to let me know if anywhere unclear, or you have any other questions.
