Model: Deco X50
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.6.7 build 25031412 rel 48241

Hi, please could someone try and help here.

My main router is getting speeds of almost 500 mps when I'm testing it sat in the same room. When I connect my main mesh unit to the router and test that I get varying speeds ranging between below 100mps up to just under 200mps.
I have tried disabled easymesh, fastroaming, beam forming and also Nat forwarding. Operation mode is router. QOS is also disabled.
is this normal or am I missing something.
thanks for any advice

i would make sure your network is set up using one of the examples in the post below

https://community.tp-link.com/en/home/forum/topic/98898 and that your network switch is compatible with deco routers. Here is a link to switches that are compatible with deco routers https://www.tp-link.com/us/home-networking/all-soho-switch/

Another thing it could be is bad Ethernet cables. Here is a great example of how a bad cable can cause problems https://community.tp-link.com/en/home/forum/topic/838210?replyId=1598872

For the WiFi side of things you could be running into network interference have you tried the Network Optimization tool? In the deco app click on More > Network Optimization > Scan

More troubleshooting options can be find in the post below in the "Recommended Troubleshooting" section at the bottom.

Need help with the Deco app, setup, Ethernet backhaul, network switch or rolling back firmware? Router or AP mode? https://community.tp-link.com/us/home/forum/topic/699816?page=1
