Model: Deco M4
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version:

Hi all,

I needed to upgrade to a higher deco unit due to my E4R not having a gigabit lan on it. So i got the M4 (yeah, money again). I connected to my network and speeds are a lot higher as expected.

I now have a problem. The unit gives an ip of range 192.168.68.xx

I see it on the app, but there is no slider to remove the dhcp server...The problem is that it gives that kind of adress to some devices and i don't want it to, i just need it for the wifi and not as a router.

How can i disable the dhcp option ?

You cannot directly disable the DHCP server on a TP-Link Deco unit while it's in router mode. Instead, you should switch the Deco to Access Point (AP) mode, which automatically disables its DHCP server, allowing another router on your network to handle IP address distribution. This is the standard method to achieve what you're looking for with Deco devices

Need help with the Deco app, setup, Ethernet backhaul, network switch or rolling back firmware? Router or AP mode? https://community.tp-link.com/us/home/forum/topic/699816?page=1
