Model: OC300
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.30.7 Build 20250704 Rel.78617 (Stable)

Feature Request

When a new version of the controller firmware is available:

  1. On the 'System Settings' screen, please display what new version(s) are available, and whether is is a Stable / Beta / or Release Candidate version.
  2. In the 'Details' pop-up, include the firmware version and the controller version that firmware contains.
  3. Include Controller firmware versions on the 'Firmware' screen, along with other devices.

Current Situation

The 'System Settings' on controllers tells you when a new version of the firmware is available and offers upgrade option. But it doesn't tell you want the new version is will install is. And it doesn't tell you if it Stable or Beta. Even clicking on the 'Details' link does not reveal what the n ew version is nor what controller version will come with it. Even clicking 'Upgrade' doesn't reveal what version are about to install. What you are about to install is saved as a surprise, for after you upgrade 😅

Workarounds

(1) The 'New Controller Software Available' pop-up does tell you what the new firmware version will be, but not what version of the controller comes with it. But if you dismiss that dialog, there seems no way to get that version information back or from any other part of the UI.

(2) The '...' -> 'About' pop-up does display the current firmware and controller version, but there appears to be now way to find out what the new controller version will be, until after you install the new firmware. And since you don't know what the new firmware version is from System Setting, you can't look it up online either.

Turns out the new version I'm being offered is a Beta, and includes a major new version of controller "6.0.0", but there is no what you can learn either of these things from the UI until after you upgrade!
