@Vassilis
Thanks for reaching out. I understand that you have been using the Speed Limit feature on your Deco Mesh system to restrict upload bandwidth for certain devices, but recently it seems that the speed limit is no longer working as expected—even when you set a limit, the device still uses the full available upload speed.
Here’s how the Speed Limit feature is designed to work and some steps to help troubleshoot the issue:
How to Set Speed Limit on Deco Mesh:
1. Open the Deco app and tap on "Online Clients" to view the list of connected devices.
2. Select the device you want to limit to open its details page.
3. Tap on "Speed Limit", enter the maximum download and upload speeds you want for this device, and save your settings.
4. For visual guidance, you can refer to this FAQ: https://www.tp-link.com/support/faq/4340/
Important Notes:
• If you do not see the "Speed Limit" option in your Deco app, your Deco model may not support this feature, or it may require a firmware update. Please check for firmware updates in the Deco app.
• Setting extremely low download/upload speeds (for example, below 1 Mbps) may cause the device to lose Internet access or behave unpredictably.
Troubleshooting Tips:
• Make sure your Deco app and firmware are both updated to the latest versions.
• After setting the speed limit, restart both the Deco unit and the device you are limiting to ensure the new settings take effect.
• If the issue persists, try removing and re-adding the speed limit for the device.
• If you continue to experience problems, there could be a bug or compatibility issue. In this case, please contact TP-Link support directly and provide details about your Deco model, firmware version, and the steps you have taken.
