Be65 as Repeater
I have a router that is Tplink AXE75. I need to extend the wifi signal to second floor using a repeater. Can 1 deco65 act as a repeater or extender for my wifi? If so, how to set up? I already tried setting up however it needs a cable when I tried to make it an access point operation mode.

Unfortunately, the Deco system cannot function as a WiFi Range Extender or Repeater. The Deco system is a comprehensive, integrated Mesh network, and Deco units are exclusively designed to connect with the Deco network itself • they are incompatible with extending other WiFi networks wirelessly.
If you need to connect your Deco BE65 to your existing AXE75 router, it can only be connected via Ethernet cable, not via WiFi. This is why you encountered the cable requirement when setting it up in Access Point mode • this is the only supported connection method.
Here are your options:
1. Run an Ethernet cable from your AXE75 router to the Deco BE65 on the second floor, then set the Deco to Access Point mode. This will extend your network coverage.
2. Replace your AXE75 with the Deco system • Set up the Deco BE65 as your main router (connected to your modem), and if you need additional coverage, add more Deco units that will wirelessly mesh with the main unit.
3. Use a TP-Link Range Extender instead • If you specifically need a wireless repeater/extender for your AXE75, you would need a TP-Link Range Extender (not a Deco unit). If your AXE75 supports OneMesh, you can use a OneMesh-compatible range extender to create a mesh network.
