About:David, I got it figured out. I plugged the Deco into my AX1800 router in the basement, hooked up the other Deco in the upstairs bedroom, selected the AP option, then plugged in the Verizon Network Extender into the upstairs Deco near a west-facing window, and voila! It all works just fine. The installer/technician that came to my house to reroute the fiber optic cable told me about the Deco system, which saved me the expense and hassle of rerouting the cable.
