Whole network IP address changes after network outage
Whole network IP address changes after network outage

Model: Deco M9 Plus
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.3.0 Build 20190821 Rel. 54024

There is a maintainence by ISP, and after the internet recovery, my LAN IP segment changes. All IP no longer starts with 192.168.68.x, but it changes to 192.168.0.x. For example, now my main Deco uses 192.168.0.1. All the address reservation and port forwarding IP address changes as well, so no issue with that part.

Is this IP changing behavior working as intended, or caused by some other issue?

Thanks in advance.

@Feng-L

Check your WAN-connection, if it is 192.168.68.0/24. Deco can change LAN network, if WAN is the same. Otherwise it should not change anything automatically.

@Mitya

No, the WAN IP is assigned by ISP with a public one different from 192.168.x.x.

@Feng-L

Except the WAN IP of Deco, please check the WAN DNS to verify whether it is in the same segment of the LAN IP (192.168.68.x); If they are in the same network, to avoid IP conflict, the Deco will change its LAN IP to another one.

You can try to change the WAN DNS to 8.8.8.8/8.8.4.4 and then change the LAN IP of Deco to 192.168.68.x .

May it help.
