What is the role of Main Deco in Access Mode
Hy,
I have a Gigabit internet connection with the ISP's Modem/Router/Switch (all in one) in RouterMode, with 3 Gigabit ports.
And connected to these ports by cat6 cables I have 3 DecoM4's, one set as MainDeco.
Can the MainDeco be a bottleneck? Does ALL trafic goes through it?
Or it just monitors the network so it can reconfigured it..
So what is the role of MainDeco in AccessMode?

In AP mode, all traffic will be transferred to the main router directly, bypass the main Deco.
The first-added Deco is the main Deco, it can help us to add other Decos and make us use the Deco app.
May it help.

Great to hear this because I want all Deco devices to be connected at Gigabit speed through the cat6 backhaul cables, to one Tp-Link Gigabit switch.
Improvements still can be made, but this is turning out to be a great line of products.

Gotcha, you can configure them as the access point and connect them to the gigabit switch directly to boost network.
If need more help, please be free to let us know.
Good day.
