Model: EAP225
Hardware Version: V3
Firmware Version: 2.61

Hey Guys,

I am using TPLINK EAP 225 v3 as a standalone access point connected directly to a POE Switch.

During Firmware update to Firmware 2.7.0, something went wrong, and I can no longer access the WEB UI - while users still can access WIFI.

I have hard reset the EAP, and still no luck - the name of the SSID is back to default, however, no mean of ability to interact with it through Web UI.

I am sure that this is firmware related, and I want to flash the firmware again. I need the instructions to flash the firmware without using WEB UI, as it's not working in my case.

I have found many tutiorials online, but they are all consumer-grade access points related. I need one specificaly made for EAP business line.

Looking forward to your feedback.

Rashid

If the factory reset did work by resetting the SSID to the default SSID, the EAP is almost certainly not bricked.

To check, connect the EAP to your PC, set the PC's IP address to 192.168.0.10 and load the web UI of the EAP using its default IP 192.168.0.254. Configure settings and reconnect the EAP to the network.

Thanks @R1D2 !

I tried doing that, however, Web UI still doesn't load. In fact, I can ping the Access point, but still no chance of accessing the Web UI.

Is there a manual for flashing firmware on this device?

You mean for recovery of the firmware? No. But if you think it's bricked, contact TP-Link support by mail (see your country's TP-Link website for contact information). Consider to apply for RMA.
