Deco m9 plus v2 update?
Hello, I would like to know if there will be a new update for this version. I bought this product thinking that I would solve my Internet connection problems, and I see that if it fulfills its function but has very limited functions and for the price it has I find that it does not meet the expectations, that is why I speak for many users who need to know if this version will have a new update since it has been many months and we have only received answers avoiding the subject.
Please we need to know if this version will have a new update and especially if you will have concisable improvements

I only have access to windows 10 laptops. So it is not working for me. Definitely needs an update to the upgrade utility program.

@THEPRFCTEN After the last update from TP Link, I was able to successfully update the firmware manually from a different Windows 10 machine than the one i had previously used and failed. Can you try from a different machine if you can? The problem I had with my first machine was that I could not sign in to the update software. Can you let me know where you got stuck - I can try to correlate with my experience.

I can certainly do that and we'll try again let me ask you do you need to do this via an Ethernet cable to each deco unit or just the main unit?

I did this from my desktop. I connected the slave units first via Ethernet to my system and updated them one after the other. For the main Deco, I connected the Ethernet from my modem to the deco and another Ethernet cable from the deco to my system and updated the main one. It went all smooth (surprisingly)!

Ok very cool may I ask what you did? The links for the tools everyone refers to? I literally just ripped everything up today and the last thing I want to do is just screw up and brick these things Right now everything seems to be running smooth and I'm pretty apprehensive about doing anything right now especially since updating the firmware it seems to be so darn tricky I wish we could do it from the app and make it easy...
I really appreciate your responses and help

@THEPRFCTEN I have a V2 deco units which came with 1.12.1 version firmware preloaded. Today I downloaded the update utility and the firmware bin files from the links posted in the above thread within that last day or so, and updated the firmware to 1.14. using the instruction in the document within the zip file. It's pretty easy and I don't think you would brick the units or anything. Just make sure you start with the slave units first.

@Navalin Please allow me to ask, just to be clear. If you have 3x M9+ V2 you have to run the upgrade tool 3 times, one per unit? The best way is to connect with ethernet cable directly to each unit. Start with slaves so that network exists during upgrade. Is that correct?

I don't know why I'm so confused with this upgrade. Web interface, upgrade tool etc...so confusing even reading the PDF....I feel like an idiot I may just wait until we can update with the app
