Quick question on setup and configuration for a pair of CPE 510 I just picked up. Here's the scenario - we are attempting to provide internet access to a building about 2km from our primary location. We have good line of sight. The primary locatation has internet access via a cable modem and google wifi mesh. Here's what I want our configuration to look like.

Primary site cable modem -> google wifi mesh -> CPE 510 in AP mode <-> CPE 510 in client mode at new building -> google wifi mesh

Here are the few questions I have:

1. Does it matter what SSID I use for the CPE 510's? I am not expecting anyone to connect directly to them.

2. Google wifi mesh is configured to use 192.168.86.xxx - should I pick an IP in that range for the CPE 510's on both sides?

3. My basic desire is for the CPE 510's to essentially act like an ethernet cable between the google wifi pucks at both locations. Is this going to work like I expect?

Sorry if any of these questions are very basic. I'm not highly technical and am just seeking some validation or direction if I am off course.

Thanks!

In case anyone comes across this later, what I suggested in my post worked exactly as expected.

Dear @MrKennedy,

1. It doesn't matter, you can customize the SSID on the CPE510_AP. If you want the CPE510_AP to be connected by the CPE510_Client only, enable MAXtream on the CPE510_AP under Wireless basic settings.

2. If you want to freely manage the CPE510s in your network, it's suggested to pick an IP in that range and set a unique IP for them.

3. Yes I think so.
