Dear @bassplayin,
What steps can I take to correct this problem ( Detected Ping of Death attack and dropped 1 packets) thanks in advance for any helpful advice.
Is your TL-R605 router managed by the OC200 controller? Do you get lots of dropped packets from Ping of death attack?
When the packet is outside the range of 46-65535 bytes, the router would determine it as Ping of Death Attack and drop the packet. If there is only 1 packet dropped, it may not be an attack.

@Fae Yes it is managed by the controller and it is usually 1 packet every half hour... It's very annoying.

I get the same thing, one to two packets every hour or so
Im happy that it is dropping these packets, would just be nice if I could turn this alert off

I have just upgraded to the latest firmware for my R605 and Detected Ping of Death attack message no longer appear.
The release notes mention this issue should be fixed.
Happy with the result.
