Model: EAP235-Wall
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 3

We still have trouble with our new EAP235-wall.

Lukily we bought just one to try and didn't replace directly all of our old eap115-wall/eap225-wall.

We learned already that the new chip-set is not capable of showing the division between Rx Frames/Tx Frames/Interference/Free at the utilization monitoring.

Thats really sad but unfortunately unfixable and somehow bareable.

We got the hint from the support, that your problems with high rate of dropped tx packages might be just due to wrong counting and won't affect the performance.

Also not nice for troubleshooting but okay.

Now we had to recognize a new and way more serious problem:

The AP fails to deliver the IP-Address handed by our DHCP to the client on VLAN 200

The request is answered by the DHCP but never reach the client.

All switches are configured correctly, all other AP (even if connected to the same port) are working correctly.

Even if we tag the DownLink ports of the EAP235-wall to these VLANs the connected client receives the IP but not on WIFI 5G nor 2,4G

Hey

Perhaps you have already done this, but you indicated you have tagged the VLAN on the ports of the switch?  Is that correct?   Did you also tag the VLAN on the SSID itself?    It sounds like the SSID is going as untagged onto a tagged network which likely wont work

@Philbert

Thanks for your fast reply and the hint.

Our Ap's are all in the same WLAN group in Omada, there the Tags are set properly.

All AP's are connected to trunk-ports on our switch's with all "wifi vlan's"+ap-mgmt-vlan tagged.

We also tried to run the the AP stand alone with manualy setting of the tag, sadly with the same result.

All other AP's 115-wall/225-wall/245 work fine with the same setting.

To confirm, have you tried the beta firmware from the post pointed out by @shberge? And does the beta firmware work for your case?

@Fae

Unfortunately it didn't work.

With the new version "EAP235-WALLv1_3.1.0_[20210721-rel46004]_up_signed.bin" that I received by mail the VLAN's are working fine now.

As I don't think I am allowed to publish this firmware here I would suggest every one with the same issue to ask the the support directly for this updated BETA.

Today we created an SSID that leads to your Mgmnt-VLAN and recognized, that the EAP-235 is again not transmitting the DHCP-Answers. The other VLAN's work fine since the last Beta (which is now the official release) but it's not possible to use a Wifi-Device in the same VLAN with the EAP235. Luckily we sent most of them already back to your supplier and kept just one for testing.
