ER605 suddenly disconnect from omada controller but still working
I maked a setup for a office clients, it is start to run 25 day ago, once a week I check the network status remotly to see how everithing it is working. For my sorprise, I saw the ER605 disconnected. Obiously if the router was off, I would not have internet becouse my ISP is connected there.
I didn't reset the router becouse im far of the office, and system still working.
Does anyone have a problem like this?
If i reboot router manually and it works again, do I need make a reboot schedule?
Thank you.

Dear @ZdenekM,

Today, I have so far 8 alerts that TL-R605 was disconnected. However, the network/connection to the Internet still works. It's strange, it used to happen like once or twice a day (not every day), but today, there are probably some sun eruptions :-) I'm using SW controller version 5.3.1.
Do you have a log that TL-R605 was readopted automatically after the alert of TL-R605 was disconnected?
Has your TL-R605 been running for a long time before you frequently got the alert that TL-R605 was disconnected?
Could you please check the memory statistics of your TL-R605 router and see if there is a noticeable change?
Disconnected state indicates that the TL-R605 has lost connection with the Controller for more than 5 minutes.
If the TL-R605 can be readopted automatically after a few minutes, perhaps you could try to reboot the TL-R605 router to clear its memory and see if it can help for your case.

@Fae Memory usage seems to be reasonable - stable at around 40%.
I'm also attaching logs. I think that the device was running for quite a long time, but can't check at the moment, as it remained in the disconnected state. Will restart it and see if it happens again.

Hello
I have the same problem on one of my routers. Do you know if this has been taken into account by TP-Link?
I updated Omada cloud to 5.5.6 but not sure if it solves the problem.
Is it useful to reboot every night?
Thank you.

@Anthony0101 seems to be an issue around the 20 day mark. Weekly reboots are working for me.

@Anthony0101 2-3 months....I only noticed after putting the gear on a UPS because my power can be pretty spotty sometimes. Weekly reboots have been working...pick a time when you can give with a 3-4 min outage.

I also have a daily reboot schedule and the issue has not yet reappeared. However this is a bit weird as I have two locations, VPN between them, and I am rebooting in the data center location and not the office location where the problem was occurring, i.e the router at the office would disconnect and need a power reset to get going again. Now doing a power cycle on the data centre router which has only done the disconnect once.
I was thinking a possible way to get to bottom of this issue would be using an SNMP manager software and monitor the router that way. It might give an insight into what parameters are going high. Perhaps it is temp? But there is no alerts or monitor to check - perhaps available through SNMP.
I searched for the TP-Link snmp software but it was discontinued, so would need to use something else, e.g. manageengine, spiceworks...something that can be configured for snmp monitoring of the router.

I have just experienced this today.
I noticed my controller went offline and then a few hours later it was back, but then my APs all started to be adopted again and that's when I noted my gateway was showing as disconnected.
I still had internet as was watching TV.
Firmware: 1.2.1 build 20220512 rel.76748
I am guessing TP Link have not got to the bottom of this yet then?

@Dustiebin it would seem so. Apparently I lost my weekly reboot schedule last time I upgraded my software controller...3 weeks later it happened to me, this was a week ago. Same hardware and firmware as you. I only noticed because it stopped serving DNS requests in the middle if my workday. Anything that needs the ER605 IP to work is vulnerable...for instance my site-site VPN dropped too.
