Model: ER605 (TL-R605)
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.2.0 Build 20220114 Rel.76871

Hi,. I' currently having issues forwarding ports. It was working properly, and then I tried adding another port to forward yesterday. That seems to have broken everything cause now none of the ports will open. I have tried removing all of the port forwarding rules and recreating them, but nothing has worked so far.

  @Killer3p0

We would need some more information on the setup and what is happening to help you woith this..  can you ping the ports remotely?

Also if you are running a ISP router into the ER605 (double nat setup) have you forwarded the ports appropaitely on the ISP router?

@Philbert Sorry, I am very new to this type of hardware. My ISP provides a cable modem only. Port forwarding was working, but is no longer working after updating the controller software. Reverting back did not fix the issue. Remote pinging is how I know the ports are closed.

Hey

No worries, OK so its modem only which means its not a double NAT issue...  In your setup are you controlling the ER605 in standalone or via a controller (OC200 / Software)?

Any screenshots you have of the forwarding you set might help if you don't mind :)

Hey

I can see nothing there that would indicate any issues, they all appear to be setup ok..   However I do notice you have different IPs mentioned in a few of them   .106   .118 etc   is that correct?  are these forwards for different PCs?

Can I also ask why you are port forwarding?   Are you running a server for these games?   If you are only playing the game you don't need to port forward.   I too am a gamer and have one one set of ports forwarded, this is to my Valheim server.

I have a iX system server that is running Proxmox with several VMs running different servers. Each VM has it's own IP that I'm passing traffic to. I've tried setting up a DMZ, but that doesn't open up any of the ports either.

Umm this is a strange one, cant think of anything that could be missing and looking at your screenshot the forwards appear to be correct

Take it firmware on the ER605 is at v1.20  and its been rebooted?

Yup, the firmware is upgraded to v1.20, and I just rebooted it again. The ports are still closed. The port forwarding rules are the only rules I have setup right now. No ACL or anything else. Should I try to reprovisioning the router?

Yeah you could try forgetting and re-adopting the ER605...

Can you see any connection attempts / logs on the servers report anything when trying to connect remotely?  You should see attempted connections   remember this isn't something you can test locally, it needs to have an attempted established connection from the WAN.

As said I have a valheim server running with no issues, screen below for comparison

So I just tried forgetting and readopting the gateway. Still no such luck. It was working fine, and then when trying to add a new forwarding rule it broke everything. I don't know what else to try.
