Stuck Adopting/Provisioning ER605V2 after OC200 update to 5.7.6
2022-12-19 08:46:05
Model: OC200
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.21.7 Build 20221206 Rel.58608

Devices:

Controller OC200v1

Router ER605 v2.0

Switches TL-SG2008P v1.0 and TL-SG2210MP v3.0

Access point EAP650(US) v1.0

After logging into my controller tonight I got a notice to update to version 5.7.6 which I did.  After updating and rebooting, my ER605 is failing to provision.  It keeps bouncing between Adopting and Provisioning and the logs show constant disconnects along with the error "The configurations of device are different from the configurations from the controller. Go to Manage Device Page and click Force Provision to synchronize the configurations of the device with the controller."  I have tried following this step to force provision, but the cycle just repeats again.  I have also tried rebooting everything to no avail.

Switches and APs are running fine, internet is still functioning.  However, the map shows the internet is disconnected and trying to set up a VPN policy returns the error message: "Failed to get any response from the gateway."

Any help will be welcome!

+1 same Problem!

Restoring to 5.6.4 from Backup and/or trying with ER605 V1 doesn't solve the problem but get's a new... Gateway is adoptet and after 2-3 minutes heartbeat is missed till "disconnect" ...

Cheers!

  @AdminSBO

I was facing similar issue with ER7206 and ER605 both using HW controllers at 5.6.4 OC200 and OC300 respectively.

For me the solution was to hard reset all the devices that were behaving like this , after connecting,  heart beat missed and then disconnected.

Very frustrating , although after updating to 5.7.6 , one of my device was stuck in adoption mode and the ip address that the device exhibited was not from my DHCP server.

ALTHOUGH OPTION 138 WAS ALSO POPULATED WITH THE OMADA IP . This adoption issue got resolved after 12 hrs of leaving the device in the adoption state , I observed the ip had changed to my DHCP server ip addresses and after which adoption was done immediately.

Hope this helps

  @Kash01976

Hi,

in my case, the problem could be solved. After all, i updated the controller again to 5.7.6, but this time manually with download - not through cloud. Furthermore i gave the gateway some factory reset, configured user, subnet and DHCP (but let VLAN on 1 - not like my usually "MGMT-VLAN") and adopted it in Omada.

I think the main problem was the VLAN. The MGMT is the main VLAN on my Omada, but it's not 1. The ER605-port on the switch has the "All"-Profile, like the OC200... maybe this cause some problems. I tried to adopt the ER605 with MGMT-VLAN preconfigured and a "Tagged"-port-profile, but this would not work...

Cheers!
