Model: ER605 (TL-R605)
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 2.1.1

Updated to the latest forware and none of my Linksys wifi routers with pick up an IP address (all wired backhaul). Many other devices are the same on the wired backhaul part. Reverted back to 2.0.1 and all is OK

Tried this a couple of times, removed the DHCP entry etc and re-added with no luck.

2.1.1 is a no go for me.

Hi again, so I have some time this morning to change my setup. I've reloaded the new firmware, same issue no DHCP for the 2 x Linksys. Reset the ER605, setup the subnet and basics with no static IP addresses and all is OK, the Linksys pickup the DHCP fine. Set them to static, and this is also fine. Switch back to the old configuration and I have the issue. So it looks like a problem when upgrading of corruption to the DHCP server static IP table. I'm re-adding everything now.

Dear @jpearn,

I'd like to update the post with a solution here.

TP-Link has released the official firmware 2.1.2 to fix the DHCP issues.

ER605 V2_2.1.2 Official Firmware (Released on Feb 14th, 2023)

You may take your time to upgrade the 2.1.2 firmware and confirm the DHCP issue you encountered has been resolved.

Dear  @jpearn

May I know how you connect the Linksys routers and the TP-Link router? Are you using Linksys routers as access point?

Is there any advanced settings you've done like VLANs?

A whole network topology/map will be much appreciated.

  @Hank21 Good morning,

Virgin media router in modem mode > ER605 > primary MX5300. Then 2 MX5300's from the primary, wired backhaul to points in the house. The Linksys mesh is standalone set to get DHCP from the router, which the primary gets fine. However the next 2 don't.

There is no way to setup the Linksys directly with static IPs as they are in standalone / Bridge mode. I previously had a Vigor v2925 in place of the ER605, this was OK. No specific VLANs / tagging setup. Subnet is 255.255.254.0 for 192.168.8.0 giving 512 ip addesses. 2.0.1 works find. 2.1.1 causes the 2 nodes to not get DHCP, and from there is looks like a lot of wifi based targets are also not getting any DHCP
