Hello,

I am in planning to implement Site-to-Site VPN for my 2 office locations.

Location-1: Head Office: 192.168.1.0/24 (20 Devices)

Location-2: Branch Office: 192.168.2.0/24 (10 Devices)

We have a software on a server at head office location with an IP address 192.168.1.100/24.

We want to access that software from the computers at our branch office.

So for that we are in planning to put TL-605 VPN routers at both the locations and shall configure site-to-site VPN.

My main concern is that after configuring PPTP/L2TP/IPsec site-to-site VPN, will we able to access SMB share from another site?

I have heard that ping and even RDP connections work but in some cases people face issue in accessing SMB share on Windows PC.

So please guide.

Regards,

Sagar Patel

There is no problem, you must approve the remote site IP in the Windows firewall to access shared resources
