Hello guys,

 

ER8411 installed in a Hotel with some VLANs and 2 Internet providers.

 

issue: ER8411 is working good til VPN connection over openvpn is made. performance issues, packetloss starts immediately

 

site to site VPN over ipsec is working.

 

but, for example, when someone connects over openvpn, ipsec tunnel gets packetloss, but over openvpn it is impossible to work, picture freezes for example.

 

After restart, everything works good, til openvpn starts. ovpn profile is not ssl.

 

Since this expensive router does stil not have wireguard in omada, I am just lost! need a fix ASAP!

the only option for you is to use TCP on the OpenVPN Server, there is a bug in ER8411 that makes IPsec more unstable if you use UDP. I honestly don't know if TP-Link is working on it, I've reported it countless times the kast 6 month without anyone doing anything about it

thank you, openvpn over tcp is working and not making ER8411 be unstable, yet. Also it uses site to site ipsec, its just working for now! thanks again.

What happend with ER8411??, now it 9 month today since some problems were first reported.
