  @JaviDiez

hardware ER605 v2.0

Firmware 2.2.2 Build 20231017 Rel.68869

two things

  1. the duckdns token is truncated in the password field (only the first 32 chars are accepted)
  2. I can't enter multiple domains in the domain name fields

to bypass, I changed the update url to

h t t p s : / / w w w . d u c k d n s . o r g /update?domains=my_domain1,my_domain2,my_domain3&token=my_token&text=[DOMAIN][PASSWORD][USERNAME]

the &text=[DOMAIN][PASSWORD][USERNAME] is neutral for the update but [DOMAIN][PASSWORD][USERNAME] are mandatory in the url syntax

enter whatever you want in the account name, password and domain name.

and voilà ... it's now working

  @noelnac Hi, just wanted to make sure I understood the solution. I used the same format as you for the update URL (my duckdns domain after "domains=, token after $token=). However, the custom DDNS entry still shows Service Status offline. Did I miss something? As you mentioned, the token is truncated in the password field. I only have one domain.

  @barrist you have to insert your domain and passwort in plain text in your url. The "omada" token are only placeholders. You can type in what ever you want. For me it works fine.

  @stsch83 So this is what I have

[can't post actual duckdns url]/update?domains=[ACTUAL DOMAIN]&token=[ACTUAL TOKEN]&myip=[IP]&text=[DOMAIN][PASSWORD][USERNAME]

Where I've highlighted in yellow is where I put my actual info (domain and token from duckdns).

Are you saying I need to put real info in the Blue highlighted ones too? for duckdns, do I put "nouser" for username?

  @barrist i use it like this:

h  t  t  p  s  :  /  /  w  w  w  .  d  u  c  k  d  n  s  .  o  r  g /update?domains=DOMAINNAME&token=TOKEN&ip=[IP]&verbose=www.duckdns.org&p=[DOMAIN][USERNAME][PASSWORD]

DOMAINNAME here is no DOT or something else. only the name.

[DOMAIN]=w w w . d u c k d n s . o r g (without spaces)

[USERNAME]=DOMAINNAME

[PASSWORD]=TOKEN

Thanks. So I think I've got the update URL down. But what about the actual entry where the password field truncates the token because its too long? It still shows offline for me.

  @barrist i does'nt matter what you type into the password field. It's important that the token is in the url-field

  @stsch83 ah okay so should the service status show online then? Or will it update appropriately as long as the url is correct?
