  @EAP-245v4_error

We would sadly need more information from you on how you have set this up, what hardware you are connected and what device is experiencing the issue etc etc

The EAP245 has been around for a few years now and is considered very reliable / solid, so one would expect this has not changed in v4.   Are you running a controller for these?

  @Philbert

While connected and working client it suddenly looses its connection and attempts to reconnect.

Reconnect takes some time. I'm using  internet router  to TL-SG1218MPE TP-Link 16ports PoE switch  with EAP245v4 for wireless internet.

And also PoE 16 Port is use as a core switch and CCTVx27 traffic is connected to that switch.

I'm using Software controller Omada SDN for EAP245 (6pcs).

The main issues is client devices are internet unstable. Any idea for this problem.

  @EAP-245v4_error

Im guessing you are referring to Laptops / Windows devices here?   If so what is the status when they disconnect?  Does it display anything in the logs about password or retry etc?   does the controller logs show anything happening?

On your controller do you have bandsteering and fast roaming enabled?   What frequency is this happening on, namely does it happen on the 2.4 only or both?

To be honest, no we dont see this issue much at all really.  Usually its connected to the WiFi OK but lacking internet or not getting a dhcp etc.

If i was you, logs would be my first point of call.. gotta be some reason its taking so long to connect

  @EAP-245v4_error it might be not the Eap issue, 1 suggestion that tou can check the stabilization of your isp to see if there is any packet loss or not. Try to open cmd and continuous ping test to internet to check.

  @Philbert

There no log show error for this issues. And I also check isp for internet connection. There is no problem.

I think it might be RF issues. Is there any reason for RF issues.

Both 2.4 and 5 enable in this SSID.

no bandsteering and fast roaming. All setting is default as default setting.

Using controller  AP can change channel and frequency so the client devices would be lost connection and reconnect again.

There is no error log in omada controller.

  @EAP-245v4_error does this issue happen with wifi only? How about when you use Lan cable? Is it normal? You can try to set the channel of the eap manually so that they cannot switch frequently between chanels may cause the unstable

  @Giang97

Thanks for your suggestion.

I also check with LAN cable. The connection is stable with ethernet connection.

But wifi channel , it unstable and lost internet connection is lost.
