How do I understand the entries in the system log?

On TP-Link routers, each line in the System Log typically shows the following information about system events that have occurred:
- the date and time the event occurred
- the part of the system to which the event relates to (e.g. "NAT", "Firewall", "Access Control", etc.)
- the category of the event (like "INFO" or "NOTICE for informational messages, "WARNING" or "ERROR" to indicate potential problems)
- a (usually short) description of the event
Keep in mind that the usefulness of this system log is somewhat limited. On many occasions it will contain no helpful information about a certain matter you might be interested in.

A comprehensive list of explanations for all and any entries that could potentially show up in a system log does not exist.
