Hey there,

 

I configured an OpenVPN Server.

Connection will be established over DDNS.

This part works correctly.

 

But I cannot access any IP Adress in my home net (instead of the admin board).

 

I also created a virtual server for the machine I would wish to connect.

 

TP-Link has the adress 10.0.0.1

DDNS works

VPN Range 10.8.0.0, 255.255.255.0 port 1194 UDP

Target in home net 10.0.0.4 Port 80

Virtual Server setting: IP 10.0.0.4 external port 81, internal port 80 protocol all (TCP/UDP)

 

What could be the error in my configuration?

Hi, what is the Internet IPv4 address on Status page of the MR6400? is it a public IP or private IP address?

If it is a private IP address, it means you are behind CGNAT of your ISP, thus you will not be able to connect the VPN Server or connect to your local IP address from external network, please contact your ISP to check if they could assign you a public IP address.

Hey there,

My IP Adress is public (77.116.218.67) and reachable from the internet.

It must be a problem in routing, because after establishing the VPN Connection I'm in my home net (gateway IP 10.0.0.1,  VPN Server 10.8.0.2, VPN Client e.g. 10.8.0.6)

And I try only to reach an IP address in the same subnet (10.0.0.4)

Hi, when you connect the VPN Server from a different network, which address you are using to access the home network?

DDNS domain name or public IP address: 81, or 10.0.0.4:80? 

 

If both of them don't work, please check if you are able to ping the 10.0.0.4 IP address on your VPN Client device, also test if you are able to access the 10.0.0.4:80 when you are connected to the same router.

 

By the way, it is recommended to edit your reply and hide your public IP address for security.
