Is it true that the 655 cannot do mesh? If so, will that still come with an update? Otherwise I'll probably have to switch to another one.

  @Johnnyr666

No wall unit has ever done meshing.  I don't know why they chose to omit the feature, but it is what it is.

  @Johnnyr666

The wall AP is designed for small rooms (hotels, dormitories) such as in-wall application scenarios, wired connections will be more often, in the beginning of the design, may not have taken into account the need for mesh, but now some of the models of the beta version can support mesh.

As far as i can see even with latest firmware EAP655-Wall(EU)_V1_1.2.6 Build 20240131 it can not do meshing.

However it is no longer true that non of the wall EAPs can do mesing.

EAP615-Wall(EU) can not do meshing after the latest firmware

EAP615-Wall(EU)_V1_1.2.3 Build 20231215 released on Jan 2 2024.

I can report that i manage to establish mesh between 615 and 265HD with almost no issues (and i am still on Omada Controller 4.4.6).

But yeah, still no dice for meshing with EAP655-Wall... which is strange as you would think they would add to a more modern hardware.

Actually installed 1.2.6 for EAP655-Wall and now i can see it as an option for uplink for EAP265HD. Not sure if that a combination of my hardware but try installing the latest firmware maybe?
