Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.26.3 Build 20230906 Rel.36269

Hi everyone

The initial setup of a new network is:

  • router ER605
  • controller OC200 (mesh is enabled)
  • switch SG105 PE
  • AP wired EAP615

Now I want to build the wireless part by adding several AP's

  • EAP615
  • EAP225 outdoor
  • EAP610 outdoor

After booting the wireless AP's they are not found by the controller.

I have searched and suspect it has something to do with the allocation of IP-addresses, but as I am new to this, I don't understand what to do next.

So I hope someone can help me.

When adding the wireless / MESH APs... is there enough signal from the MAIN AP in the location you want the APs?

Download Acryclic Wireless Analyzer on your laptop and go out to that location and confirm.

  @KimcheeGUN hi, thanks for your reply.

As I am still working on the setup, all the devices are in the same room. So I suppose the signal ought to be ok?

Is it a flat network?  No VLANs?

The OC on the same LAN as the APs?

Also is the OC200 on the newest firmware version?

  @KimcheeGUN

I only made a simple network, I don't know what vlan is yet, so I didn't configure it.

The ap's are not on the network of the controller, because the controller doesn't see them. That's the problem I'm trying to solve....

The controller software is up to date.

The Router is adopted, right?

Log into the controller and look at the client list and if you see APs MACs in the list?

Have you confirm the DHCP scope is wide enough?  set it to .50-.254

  @KimcheeGUN

The scope was initially set to .1 - .254

I changed it to .50 - .254, but that did 't help.

Thanks for your patience. I do hope you have more tips for me to try.

Reboot everything... Router, switch, and Aps... and see if it picks up an IP.

BY chance is the power light on the AP?  Are you powering by the SWITCH or POE Injector?

Thanks for your feedback, I think I made a mistake in the initial configuration and took out the router. It seems to be solved now. I have a new issue however, and will start a new topic.
