Model: Archer A9
Hardware Version: V6
Firmware Version: Firmware 1.1.1

The Archer WIFI router allows SSH connections but does not allow the administrator to log in which leaves the possiblity of a back door access.

Can SSH be deactivated?

If not what is the SSH password that it responds to as the graphical user interface password which I normally use to log into the router does not allow me to access it via SSH

Hi, please don't worry and check this FAQ: Why SSH TCP port 22 is tested as open?

Ensure that your TP-Link router's firmware is up to date. Visit the TP-Link website, find your router model, and check for the latest firmware. If an update is available, install it. Check the Telus modem/router settings to make sure it's not configured to block or limit connections from third-party routers. Disable any unnecessary features on the Telus modem, like its built-in router functionalities if possible.
