Trying to restore a backup fails. have tried various backups, eg 7 days / settings only etc...

But I always get an error restoring onto the new controller

Failed to restore because of unexpected errors. Please try again later.

Fortunately I have backups of the Virtual Machine I can use, does this upgrade path work.

Hello @n3twork

There are 5 firmware iterations from v5.7.4 to v5.13.22, and plenty of new features are added to the controller, it is suggested that restore the backup files on a middle firmware first like v5.8.4, if it works, you may try restoring it on the v5.9 and then v5.13. Please also confirm the Backup file is effective.

  @n3twork

As a work around you can also consider just setting up the 5.13 Controller as a new controller, and then migrating any site(s) from your 5.7, one at a time.  Not sure which will take more time...moving through the various controller versions, or moving sites.
