I want to to connect to  vpn via L2TP client on TP-Link ER605, it is connected and have ip from VPN but it cannot ping to another host on the same remote network, what perhaps is the issue? VPN L2TP client is running just fine via pc it can ping remote network but it doesn't work as it's intended on TP-Link ER605. Thank you.

Thanks for posting in our business forum.

1. Examine if the VPN tunnel is up.

2. If it is up, then it means the connection is successful.

Try to ping the gateway IP address instead of a client to verify if the tunnel is actually working.

 

If the ping works to the gateway IP(192.168.0.1 by default), you are connected via VPN and it is working fine. You should check the firewall settings on the other client. Usually, WindowsOS blocks the ping from a VPN client. Search for Windows firewall settings on Google about this topic.
