Hi all!

 

My fresh bought cameda on first day show strange behaviour : constantly rebooting and initializing in loop when its became dark at street. You see few seconds on live view during initialization, when camera rotating, and then again its going on reboot. Camera is working ok in daylight or when at night I'm pointing bright light source on it.

For mee it's look like buggy firmware.

Some ideas?

Issue was solved by replacing Ethernet cable for FTP cat 6e with full metal wire cores

What is your firmware?

The latest one I found on the official website is

 

Can you let me know where you find your 2024 firmware version? So I can confirm is there is a problem with the firmware or not.

Second, have you confirmed that your power supply is good? How do you power it up? Please give details.

My camera have Firmware ver. 2.0.0 Build 231214 Rel. 67097n.

Installed during last autoupdate.

 

It is hardware ver 1.0 with S/N 223B503000341

Camera is working ok even at night if I'm not using utp cat6e 30m cable to power it but directly attach power source to camera.

 

Its look like additional 30m of utp ethernet cable make it trouble to function normally in night vision mode.

I checked it with 2 different vendors passive power sources for 12v 2A current. Measurement on the other end of my 30m ethernet cable show still 12v current via that power sources so if losses are present - they should be minimal...

 

I hope the source with 3A current may solve the issue but first I should find it somewhere...

New adapter with 12V 2,5A didn't solve the issue

At night time the camera using IR - which draws more power, so at night if there is an issue with power you will know about it.

 

Can you try power the camera using a 48v POE injector or 48v POE switch instead of the 12v dc jack?

If it is PoE compliant, the common PoE is at 48V. If you have trouble with this part, please kindly Google PoE specs. Any reason for your comment that it'll burn?
