I was wondering if I can use a tp link dual band extender to extend my WiFi service generated from a mobile phones hotspot.
If so will the extender transmit both frequencies when only receiving 5Ghz from my phone's hotspot.

Hi, Do you have any models in mind?
Generally it should work with single 5GHz mobile hotspot, then broadcast its own 2.4 GHz+ 5 GHz.
While there is one more thing that it would be great to check the 5GHz channel of the mobile hotspot. Please confirm it is on band 1(channel 36-48) since the EU version extender doesn't support band 4(channel 149-165)yet.
