ER605 does not get IP address
I have set up ER605 in the stand alone mode to have the WAN port use DHCP for the WAN to get an IP address from my home router. For some reason thw WAN does not get an address and there is no internet access. I changed the LAN to 10.10.30.1 so that there would not be any overlap. Also a lap top plugged into the same cable gets an address and internet access.
Any ideas what I am doing wrong?

Hi @Larry_C-84
Thanks for posting in our business forum.
Either MAC clone the computer's MAC to the WAN, or contact your ISP or modem provider for instructions on how-to connect a new router/device.
If the MAC clone does not work, you should re-examine your modem(router)'s config as you said it is on Dynamic IP, and it is supposed to work.

Thanks for responding. We have a bulk feed from ATT so no modem in the picture. I can't understand why the ER605 wont get an IP from my router and wont connect to the internet. MY home router (Ubiquiti Amplifi) even shows the correct MAC for my ER605 but doesnt connect. Also tried using the controller but no soap there either.
Any ideas?

Factory reset the ER605. By default it assumes DHCP assignment on the primary WAN port. IF the laptop worked, this should too.
If there was a LAN subnet conflict before your change, the ER605 may be in some funky state, and a power cycle may just do the trick if you haven't done that already.

Does the router show it's WAN port as link up? What is the status screen for the WAN port you are connecting to your upstream router?

Home router showed the ER605 MAC but nothing else. Upgraded ER605 to latest software and no help. I am putting the ER605 away and am going to stop trying to get it to work. Thanks for your help. i'm done

Home router showed the ER605 MAC but nothing else.
That sort of implies that the home router has seen the DHCPDISCOVER and has probably replied with a DHCPOFFER but has then never seen a DHCPREQUEST and thus not allocated an IP.
Is there any information in the ER605 log that might help ? or maybe in the home router log ?
Failing that , I suspect its a wireshark job to analyze the traffic on the WAN port. You can use the port mirroring functionality on the ER605 to mirror the WAN port to another LAN port and connect a pc with wireshark to that port.
