Model: EAP225-Outdoor  
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: Version 1

EAP 225 Outdoor Wi-Fi Extender is plugged into the home modem/router directly via ethernet. It won't activate though or register through the app as the camera won't read the QR Code for some reason and the manual input code above it results in an "Unknown Error". The Kaptcha doesn't give enough time to be input either, help?

Hi @Yolo34 

You don't need to scan the QR code when configure the EAP via Omada App. Please go to Standalone Mode at Omada App and select EAPs. Here are set up video and set up steps for your reference.

  @Hank21 Doesn't help at all. It requires a Passkey or The QR Code to continue. Its pretty much like you didn't listen at all.

Hi @Yolo34 

The passkey/QR code is for controller only. Have you tried to go to the standalone mode on Omada App when connecting to the EAP WiFi, and make the configuration? When you first set up the EAP in standalone mode,  both the username and password are admin by default.

 

May I suggest you refer to the video and set up FAQ I have sent before? You might be able to find some steps from the video or FAQ.
