Model: EAP655-Wall
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.2.6 Build 20240131 Rel. 64615

I recently purchased the 655-wall to add to my omada setup. Only use the AP's from TP-Link and the software controller. Some of my devices can not connect to the 655 and I have no idea why. I now have 655-wall (US), 225 (Canada) and 225 outdoor (Canada), all on the latest available FW.

After adding the 655 to my site, the previous EAP225(Canada) v3.0[Custom] is no longer used, no clients will connect to it, only to the 655. A few of my devices dont connect to the 655 at all (printers, some wifi cameras).

I did some basic debugging, couldnt find anything in any logs. I removed the 225 and 655, re-add the 225 and now all my devices are able to connect to wifi. So, it is for sure something to do with the 655 model. I have removed the 655 for now until I can figure out how to set it up so that all my devices can connect to it, and it does not render other EAP's unable to receive connections.

AFAIK I am on the latest firmware, I don't know where I can get some good logging to debug the issues of why only certain devices are not connecting to the 655, but the 225 works. I also dont know why when I adopt the 655 into my site, the 225 stops accepting clients and devices will only connect to the 655.

Any insight would be appreciated.

I am also on the latest controller FW: 5.13.30.8

Hi  @baudneo

It could be wireless security settings or wireless channel settings. You may try:

1. Modify the wireless security as WPA2-PSK, AES.

Disable 6Ghz and WPA3;

2. Fixed all AP's wireless channels. For 2.4Ghz can use channel 1, 6 or 11. Different AP should use differnet channel;

For 5Ghz please use channel 36 or 48
