What is the benefit of remembering a device in the Omada Controller config settings?

This is the explanation for this feature and can be found by clicking on the icon next to the feature.

When enabled, the controller will remember the device. After device reset and power-on, the controller will automatically adopt the device if the controller can find it

What are the behaviors if this option is NOT checked?
When does that behavior happen?
By reset, do you mean like a factory reset?

If the devices managed by the controller are manually factory reset, the controller can automatically adopt once it finds them. If you do not select this option, the controller will not automatically adopt it when it locates the device, thus you'll have to manually adopt it back to the controller. However, if you did not notice the accidental reset by others, some features may not be working since they were not automatically adopted by the controller.
