Model: EAP670
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version: 1.0.4

I replaced an old Ubiquiti Unifi AP-AC-LR with a TP-Link EAP670.  My HP8600 printer will not connect to the network, failing at the authentication phase.

It detects the network and accepts the password, then takes about 3 minutes of trying to connect before giving up.

A Google search suggested I could use the printer's web interface, so I connected it to the network via ethernet.  Configuration through the web interface was "successful" but the wifi never connected.  The printer supports WPA2 both TKIP and AES as specified in the documentation.

Suggestions?

The solution was to create a separate WLAN supporting only 2.4GHz and WPA-PSK-Auto (not WPA2).  The printer then connects with no problem.

Hi  @jhg6308

What's the encryption method of the SSID? You can refer to the following page to configure it as WPA2-PSK / AES:
