From a tp-link T1600G-28PS Smart PoE Switch, controller buy a tp-link TL-ER7206 router & tp-link Omada in auto mode running during the day was 127 deg F at the base and 114 deg Fin the morning Hardware Version: V1 Firmware Version: 1.0.13 Build 20240402 Rel. 83986  and my network is stable at this time

  @Hank21 Sense my first Post, I have been Troubleshooting this heat problem.  I have changed the way I power my EAP772, I am now using an external power sourse ( 12 Vdc / 100 Watt output) and I have lowered the units temp by 25 deg's F. plus improving  my EAP 772 connection speeds by 267 Mb. (6 GHz transmitter)  I'm purchasing a Tl-POE170S powder injector to test the EAP 772/BE11000.   I have also improved the airflow by using an air gape between the celling and the unit by 3/4 of an inch.

  @Veech54 I have installed the new TL-POE170S (UN) (60W injector) S/N: Y23C0S6000367 , PN: 01600199.  The EAP 772 (V1.0) is now up 12 deg’s F (112 to 114 deg’s F) the unit runs cooler with a 100W 12.0 Vdc external power unit.    Running EAP 772 in auto from Omada OC200.  All ethernet cables are Cat5E.  I now believe the issue is in the PoE power conditioner  in the EAP772  unit

I had the same issue.  Didn't test the various power sources like you did, just using PoE+ TP-Link switch.  I had it running for two days and ended up returning it.  In those two days I saw constant 'heartbeat lost' messages before it would go into odopting/provisioning status.  At some point there was an error during the adoption process so I had to power cycle it.  It was very hot to the touch when I pulled it from the ceiling mount.  I couldn't hold it for more than a few seconds due to how hot it was.  In the end I went with EAP610's and it's more than I need for a home network.  And you get two 610's for a little less than the price of the EAP772.
