Model: EAP772
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.0.13
I have been using Omada for many years and have now changed the switch and access point. My Omada setup before switch and access point upgrade was:

OC200 v1
T1600G-28PS v3

EAP620 HD(EU) v3

Now i'am using:

OC200 v1 - Firmware 1.31.1

SG3218XP-M2 v1 - Firmware 1.0.3

EAP772(EU) v1 - Firmware 1.0.13

I noticed that the EAP772 is quite picky about the LAN cable. With the same LAN cable (CAT6a S-FTP/PIMF) which was used with the EAP620 HD, the EAP772 aren't able to run with 2,5 GBit/s und falled back to 1 GBit/s. Then i have fixed the Switch-Port for the EAP772 to 2,5 GBit/s and the LAN-LED on Switch is blinking green, then off, green, off ect.

Then i have take another LAN cable and the EAP772 is working fine. Last week i get two high quality LAN cables (CAT7 S-FTP/PIMF), With LAN cable 1 the EAP772 runs fine, with the other cable not. With this reasons i'am a little bit confused about this behavior. I don't think it's an hardware failure, because the EAP772 runs with the "correct" LAN cable very great. Maybe this is a firmware related issue?

Hi  @NeoMorpheus

Cat6 should be good enough for 2.5G Ethernet connection. However the "category" may not represent the quality of the cables.

Only good quility cables can keep the 2.5G speed in long distance.

As the length of the network cable increases, the negotiation speed will decrease. 10Mbps can reach up to 250meters.
