Model: OC200   EAP245   ER605 (TL-R605)
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

I bought a new OC200 controller to replace my software controller. Followed the steps for site migration and got it almost done )the name didn't carry over even if I specified it in the site import step, not a major problem). After I done the move devices from the old controller and I see them now Adopting on the new controller (so that part seemed to work) I have to actually adopt them in the new controller and I am asked for a username and password

Of course I cannot remember the username and password for the devices and also I don't get it which username and password is needed at this step (of course the documentation https://www.tp-link.com/us/support/faq/3589/ doesn't mention any username, password or adoption step required frown

Please let me know which should be my next steps?

So far I found this: https://community.tp-link.com/en/business/forum/topic/558936 but is this the only/official supported way to do this?

Also, so far this doesnt seem like a migration process but more of a delete/release from a controller and adoption on a new one.

Hi  @McRadu

It's the device account of the old software controller,  you can find it from the following page:
