I have an EAP110 with a wireless network for IoT and another for guests so guests are not able to access the main network.

My problem is that the wall wired socket is accessible and if someone plugs its laptop to it I´m afraid the main network is accessible.

How can I limit the wired wall socket to guest network only but at the same time permit the EAP110 can provide a wifi to the Iot devices?

Thank you

  @Gii

Hi, EAP110 doesn't have an extra spare wired port.

Is your product EAP115-wall?

You may give the port a non-exist VLAN ID to avoid the situation.

With this configuration, clients plugged into that port will have no access to anywhere.

  @Vincent-TP

Hi Vincent

Thank you for your reply.

My EAP hasn't got a spare port so I guess your suggestion will not work.

Probably the solution is on the switch port that's connected to the socket/EAP but I´m not sure how.

I have an option on the switch port to select a VLAN but If I choose the Guest Option only probably when I connect the EAP to this port the LoT wifi will be also off.

  @Gii

If I understand correctly,  you want the EAP110 to be the only client that can get Internet access from the switch cable.

You are using SDN switch, right?

You may refer to the following guide to configure 802.1X authentication, and the EAP110 is the client.

How to build an 802.1X access authentication system using Switches on Omada Controller
