Wifi Sharing Prohibit on EAP's

Hi TP Link I have been using TP Link Omada almost two years now. And I just wanted to request the (prohibited wifi sharing) can be use to Controller OC200/Cloud. It only works on Standalone feature not in controllers. Hopefully you can fix this as soon as possible. Thank you> :D

@Vincent-TP Thank you for implementing the feature. But, I'd like to bring to your notice that it is not working. Users are still able to share their internet through hotspot. Thank you

Hi @Ariyonet
What the model number and firmware version of the EAP you are using?
This feature requires firmware update, and not all EAPs added this feature.

@Vincent-TP I'm using EAP110-Outdoor(EU) v3.0, and the firmware has been upgraded to 5.1.3.

Hi @Ariyonet
EAP110-outdoor doesn't support this feature.
You may replace it with EAP610-outdoor. Its latest firmware is fully adapted to Omada Controller 5.15.24.

@Vincent-TP But it works well in standalone mode... why does it become incompatible when connected to Omada?

Hi @Ariyonet
Yes, this model is different.
A previous version did include this feature, but at that time the controller didn't support it yet, so it could only operate in standalone mode.

@Vincent-TP Well, that's not nice. I waited so much for it to be implemented.

Hi @Ariyonet
I had to tell you that we currently have no plans to release a firmware update adding this feature for the EAP110-Outdoor under controller mode.
You may want to consider alternative solutions, such as upgrading to a compatible EAP model or continuing to use it in standalone mode.
