Model: EAP772
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: Latest

Purchased EAP 772 V1.6 updated to latest firmware release.

AP stays considerably warm all the time. No Wifi 7 devices connected. Only Wifi 6 & 6E devices of 20 connected.

Powered using TL-POE260S, via 2.5G switch.

All 3 bands are enabled on single SSID. 6GHZ band configured to turn off when no devices on the band for 60mins.

I have seen few post about AP getting hot, is it something resolved with latest HW revisions? TP-Link support page has 4 HW revisions.

No connection issues, nor rebooting of AP.

hi  @Dinesh1191

It's normal for the device to generate some heat during operation.

Make sure that the environment where the EAP 772 is placed has good ventilation. Adequate air circulation can help dissipate the heat effectively.

What's more, use a good quality Ethernet cable to power it on.

If these conditions are met, you don't need to worry too much. The device is designed to handle normal operating temperatures within its specifications.

Different hardware versions only have slight differences in materials used. They have exactly the same functions and there is almost no difference in performance.
