Model: EAP610
Hardware Version: V3
Firmware Version: 1.5.0

Hello i recent got my EAP610, trying to set up PPSK but each time i try to connect to the wifi is just doesnt work. Ive searched online and saw there was an issue about two years ago but i dont know if its a case where this model doesnt suoport PPSK or im just not doing something right.

I also have a EAP115 and PPSK works perfectly fine so i know im probly not doing any thing wrong here.

can someone please help with this? I just need to know if it supports PPSK or not?

  @Vincent-TP

Thanks for taking the time to answer my question. After doing some tweaking I finally got the AP to work with PPSK.

Before i did the setup, i plugged the EAP610 directly into my ER605 because for some reason while its pluuged into switch SG2008 and i connect to the wifi, it doesnt work. I dont know if i need to config the switch after or before, I have no idea. Maybe @Vincent-TP  can tell me if i need to config the switch to get this to work but my solution was to plug the EAP directly to my ER605.

Im sorry but im fairly new to networking and im in the learining pase so please forgive me if im not understanding how to set up the switch to work with this.

I must also say that i dint have this issue with my EAP115. I just plugged it into the switch and set up PPSK and it worked. I didnt do any config on the port its plugged into so i thought i could have just did the same with the EAP610.

Like i said please ignore my ignorace if im not doing something correct.

To set up PPSK with the EAP610 or any other EAP do the following.

1
- Select the SIte you want to set this up on > Setting> Wired Network> LAN> Create New LAN

- When creating the LAN i set Purpose: Interface. Set the Vlan id. I used 20 in my case.

- Set your Gateway/Subnet

- I also set DHCP L2 Relay: Enable.

- Click Save

2

- From setting menu > Profiles> PPSK> Create New PPSK

- Put the Name of the PPSK of you choice> Click the Add button below.

- You can do Manual or Auto. I did manual.

- Fill in the info and ensure for the VLAN Assignment: you put the vlan id you want to use. In my case i used 20.

- Click Apply and then Apply again.
- Your PPSK profile is now set up.

3

- Fromn setting go to> Wireless Network> Create New Wireless Network
- I selected Device Type: EAP

- Band: only 2.4GHz and 5GHz are supported for PPSK

- Security: PPSK without Radius.
- PPSK Profile: Select the name that you gave to your PPSK profile.
- CLick Apply.

Thats is!!! This is how i set up mine and its works perfectly fine.

Hi  @Dre876

Happy to know you finally found a solution.

You have configured VLAN for the VLAN SSID, so the switch matters.

What's the model number of the switch?

Hi @Vincent-TP I have sent the switch back, it was the SG2008, I needed a switch with some POE+. ports so I'm waiting on the SG2008P. Any config you suggest will be the same for any switch I connect so if you don't mind, can you tell me how to configure it?
