  @Lajt

I am having even worse WiFi connectivity issues.

I have the following devices on my network:

  • Controller ER7212PC
  • PoE Switch SG2428P
  • Access points: EAP225, three units of EAP653.

I have created a couple of SSID and assigned them to VLANs

Hard wired devices working perfectly well.

I am however not able to connect to WiFi SSID 99% of the times. You get either 'Privacy Warning' message with a spinning wheel or simply the spinning wheel going on forever

This is happening with me sitting literally a meter or so away from the AP.

Meanwhile another SSID on another router from another manufacturer connects perfectly well.

  @Lajt I'm having the same issues since I have my setup which is

- Router

- Switch

- 3 Access Points

All my android devices keep disconnecting from wifi. The phones itself still show the wifi signal but the connection to the gateway is lost.

I captured what is happening in a video where I'm watching random stuff on instagram while doing a ping test via the Omada app on my phone.

You can see that after first package is lost, the instagram feed is also freezing for a period of time, until connection is restored and video continues.

This is unbearable and is happening since the beginning (which is 2 years ago now). Very anyoying an most of the time I have my wifi switched of on my phones...

I would really like to know what is causing this. I tried all things in the book (everything suggested on online fora like reducing signal strength, change channels, switch of optimization, etc) but still this is happening.

It pissses me of as I invested around 400-500 euro in the setup and it just doesn't perform...

Anyone any idea? Or should I just ditch omada all together?

  @ThomNL

I never 100% figured out what is the issue.

I would say it is some sort of incompatibility between my mobile phone wifi6 implementation toward access point.

Before you ditch the Omada system I can tell you that I tried with Unify system.

Whole unify system with no TPlink equipment whatsoever and the issue remained.

p.s. roaming between AP-s worked much better on Omada.

  @Lajt I believe TP-Link and Unify and Ubiquiti share significant amounts of components and software..

Others report it as a provider incompatibility

others still, believe it is some sort of DCHP issue, unable to keep up with checks and changes to the assigned IP.

I am due to go full fibre with a different provider and a static IP on the WAN side, from about April/May so will update if it makes any dfifference.

I use the hardware controller on my LAN... are people getting this problem, using the server based controller online??
