VLAN on each switch port set as their own DHCP server
Hi,
Hope someone can enlighten me if what I did would impose problems over my large network
So I created 5 VLAN for each 5 ports of my SG3210 and I have set each VLAN to be their own DHCP server. Would that cause any problems?
note that the 6th port is set to default as the management VLAN and set to the default static IP and set as a DHCP server as well
each of the 5 ports that have their own VLAN and DHCP server enabled that I've mentioned above have unmanaged switches connected to each for 5 different rooms and computers connected to those unmanaged switches
here is a screenshot of one of the VLAN I created assigned to 1 of the ports.
also if someone can tell me the disadvantage and advantages of what I did?
I don't want each room's computers communicating with another room/port/VLAN but all computers within the same room/port/VLAN should be able to communicate with each other
also created acl for each vlan
