Can not using Omada Software Controller
Can not using Omada Software Controller
I have an EAP610 that I want to put into the Omada controller software, but I have some problems using it...
1. when I use the controller software v3 which was released in 2018, the AP is detected on the network, but cannot be adopted, it always gives the message "failed to send adopt command to ap", I have tried reinstalling the controller, resetting the AP, but the writing still remains There is
2. Secondly, when I use the Omada controller software v5, it always only opens when I first install it, but when I try to exit the controller, I can't log in again, when I press shoprtcut, it only gives me a .jar file.
Is there something wrong with my use of the controller software?
I hope I can find the answer, because this is quite stressful for me :(
thanks in advance guyss...

Hi @UniFly
Firstly, EAP610 is not compatible with controller V3. It's too old, so let's focus on the controller v5 issue.
but when I try to exit the controller, I can't log in again, when I press shoprtcut, it only gives me a .jar file.
>>>Could you please share a screenshot or a short video showing this process?

@Vincent-TP may i give a little addition sir, when i asked my region's TP-Link Customer Support, they said that omada software controller needed to keep on for 24hours, is that the reason that the controller gave me the .jar file after i quit the controller or restarted my PC?, thanks

Hi, this is not related. And we don't need to keep the controller running for 24 hours. Unless you need to use some advanced features which require the controller to function.

This is weird.
Did you try installing the latest Omada Controller 5.15.6.7? Will the issue persist?
Please uninstall the current controller and don't retain any data.

@Vincent-TP thank you for telling me sir, I accept their explanation, because I think it's true...
If that's the case, it means there was a problem with me when installing my controller, right?
