I have tried many different solutions but this seems to be a symptom of using the controller. The public IP is reported correctly on the router web-interface but after configuring with the controller the public IP reverts to the same IP address as the gateway. This is only my first site of three that I am setting up and i need to be able to receive the correct IP address. 

I have checked multiple sites, forums, videos, and AI and cannot seem to find the answer.

If anyone knows of a way to extract the correct IP  from the command line via script? I am using both Ubuntu server and windows server. There is not much documentation on connecting to and using the command line from a server using the console port
