Model: EAP683 LR
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version:
The WLAN signal of this access point EAP 683LR is often completely lost. In addition, this AP periodically reports a "missed heartbeat". This is not the case with our 2x EAP245. All access points are connected directly to the modem via a Category 7 SFTP Ethernet cable. We have a 1GB internet subscription, we now often only get 100MB WiFi speeds, but when we turn off the EAP683LR we regularly reach 700MB. It seems that this disrupted the entire network EAP683LR.

You then report this to TP Link Germany. I got two answers back, but not with the correct solution. You then ask twice more by email for a solution, but don't hear anything more from TP Link. That's not how you treat customers, just solve the problems and respond politely

  @Martijn19

Thanks for posting in TP-Link community.

Sorry for the unpleasant experience with support team.

Did you get a solution with support team?

This is a strange problem to solve. Please check the relevant cable connections, and make sure the EAP683 LR is using  the latest firmware version.

If you can rule out other factors, you may consider to contact your retailer to get a replacement.
